Answering the Cry…
You can hear the cry in most churches today. It is the cry of parents, church leaders, grandparents and others over the loss of their children and grandchildren. Reaching the heart of young people has perhaps always been a challenge, but perhaps never as much as it is today.
Summer Confirmation camp meets for one week each summer and covers the basic teachings of the Christian faith. This camp is taught in an engaging manner so that youth experience first and foremost Jesus and the basic teachings of the Christian faith. This camp is for 7th and 8th graders.
Having been instructed in the basics of the Christian faith, youth are invited to take “First Communion” as a 7th grader. The Sunday prior to this special Service youth and their parents will once again review the basic teachings concerning the Lord’s Supper.
In the Spring, 8th grade youth write and share a confession of their faith. It is also a time for families to celebrate God’s work in the lives of their children.
Growth Groups begin in the fall after school starts and meet each Wednesday throughout the School year. These groups are designed to challenge youth to live out their faith in their everyday lives. Because we are passionate about leading youth to be leaders in their faith our high school growth groups are youth led and adult supported. Supper is provided.
